DESCRIPTION:The 2022 National Symposium has been rescheduled for May 2-4, at the Ritz Carlton, Washington DC.\nAs the first in-person event following the pandemic, we look forward to celebrating our 20-Year Anniversary! We will review our history, present updates on our current and strategic initiatives, and discuss our future priorities. Additionally, we are planning the inclusion of several thought leaders as keynote speakers representing both public and private sectors. Finally, we look forward to our 20-Year Anniversary Reception celebration that will bring together the forefathers of the IJIS Institute, and the visionaries that will influence our future.\nThe last few decades have witnessed an ongoing surge of public safety, homeland security, health and wellness, and most recently pandemic and reform -related challenges. In all cases, our public sector practitioners have risen to the challenge despite dwindling resources, competing priorities and technical deficiencies.
