Richard Fiore joined IJIS in January 2023 as a Sr. Project Manager.  Richard brings experience working in the private and public sectors with a wide variety of initiatives across several domains ranging from health care to higher education to criminal justice and the courts.  He has served in many roles within State of Alabama government including as Project Sponsor for the Alabama Secure Sharing Utility for Recidivism Elimination (ASSURE), the Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of the Health Insurance Exchange and most recently as the Senior Consultant implementing a new Case Management System for all three of Alabama’s appellate courts.  His emphasis throughout these efforts has been on secure and appropriate information sharing, collaboration across multiple agencies, programs and domains, data analysis with a special focus on geographic data presentation, and identifying and securing project and agency funding from various sources.  Whenever he is not working, Richard is a sometimes overly-enthusiastic fan of his children’s volleyball, basketball, tennis and baseball activities.
