Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Combat Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Combat Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being utilized at a very fast speed across many areas of our lives, including by law enforcement and other organizations who work at keeping our children safe. With the fast adoption of AI, bad actors have been taking advantage of the AI technology to exploit children around the world. Our child safety community must be capable of countering the use of AI by these bad actors who do harm. During this webinar your will hear how the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Interpol are utilizing AI in their case investigations, victim identification, and other areas to protect children and to combat the use of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This webinar presents a great opportunity for the Justice and Public Safety community to gain a better understanding on how they can collaborate with NCMEC and law enforcement agencies around the country and the entire world, by using some of the AI capabilities that are currently available or being developed.
Speakers:
  • Shelley Allwang – Director (Exploited Children Division), National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
  • Nuno Almeida – Criminal Intelligence Officer, INTERPOL
