In preparation for the 2023 Community Forum, the IJIS Institute is soliciting innovative, engaging, and informative, topical areas and presentations to be reviewed for potential inclusion as part of the event agenda. These presentations should highlight relevant and educational content that supports the IJIS domains of focus which include Justice, Public Safety, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, and Critical Infrastructure. IJIS Staff and select committees will review these abstracts, which should be submitted by March 10th, 2023. Though we are in final stages of agenda development, unique and valuable topics/speakers are encouraged and welcomed.
The first-ever IJIS Community Forum is centered around critical issues that face our communities nationwide, specifically addressing topics including challenges related to justice reform, threat to life concerns, the ongoing issues of school safety, as well as supporting officer wellness in challenging times. We will also look at the critical value of the analytics across domains, as well as the crucial contribution of community representatives in the progression toward justice reform improvements.
While these themes will be front and center on the Community Forum agenda, we want to ensure our members and constituents can promote the innovative and life-altering work we know is available and is incorporated into our communities nationwide.
Submit your abstracts by March 10, 2023, by emailing Alex McAdoo (alex.mcadoo@ijis.org)!
