2024 Community Forum Call for Presentations (CFP)

In preparation for the 2024 Community Forum, the IJIS Institute is soliciting innovative, engaging, and informative topical areas and presentations to be reviewed for potential inclusion as part of the event agenda. These presentations should highlight relevant and educational content that supports the IJIS domains of focus which include Justice, Public Safety, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, School Safety and Critical Infrastructure Security. IJIS Staff and select committees will review these abstracts that should be submitted by Friday, January 26th. Though we are deep in the agenda development phase, unique and valuable topics/speakers are encouraged and welcomed.

The second-ever IJIS Community Forum seeks thought-leaders, experts, and practitioners to submit thought-provoking, innovative presentations, and topical ideas for consideration on the crucial aspects shaping the IJIS domains of focus. This year’s conference will focus on “The Value of Collaboration in Time of Crisis” – keeping in mind increased violence, substance use disorders / mental health issues, world events, the growing mistrust of public servants, homelessness, and so many other challenges that confront our communities daily. Topics including cybersecurity and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and the impacts on the communities are also welcome.

While these themes will be front and center on the Community Forum agenda, we want to ensure that our Collaboration Network members can promote the innovative concepts and programs that are so very necessary in communities nationwide to ensure the safety and health of our citizens.
