IJIS Institute’s premier conference and educational event bridges the gap between technology and policy through public- and private-sector collaboration. Through the education and networking opportunities at the National Symposium, public-sector mission challenges will intersect with industry innovation and policy and process best practices to help drive public-sector technology, empower information sharing, and result in safer and healthier communities. 

This year’s event will focus on three main tracks: 1. Operations – including but not limited to leadership, staffing, recruitment, and procurement; 2. Standards and Policy – the importance of frameworks like NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), CJIS Security Policy, National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), etc; 3. Innovative and Emerging Technologies – including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning, ChatGPT, Knowledge Graphs, and other technologies impacting our constituents and their operations on a daily basis whether positive or negative.
