Agencies routinely train for major physical incidents using tabletop exercises (TTX)—but today’s cyber threats demand equal preparation. This interactive session puts cyber resilience at the forefront. A panel of law enforcement and cybersecurity experts will lead audience volunteers through a hands-on ransomware incident TTX.

Participants will navigate a realistic simulation modeled after recent attacks targeting public safety organizations. Scenarios will include compromised digital evidence, media scrutiny, and the risk of leaked internal communications. Designed for chiefs, executives, public information officers, and legal/privacy teams, this exercise builds confidence and operational readiness to respond decisively to ransomware incidents. Attendees will also receive resources to conduct their own cyber TTX.
