Join the IJIS Institute this summer in Tempe, Arizona, for a transformative two-day leadership retreat designed to help current and emerging leaders navigate the complex ethical landscape between the public and private sectors. “Leading Through Ethics and Values” will challenge participants to think laterally, explore diverse ethical frameworks, and cultivate a values-based leadership approach that drives innovation and trust across justice, public safety, and technology domains.
The retreat will feature a keynote address by Professor Paul Melendez, a nationally recognized expert in ethics, leadership, and innovation from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. Professor Melendez will offer insights into how strong ethical foundations can inspire courageous decision-making, build public trust, and spark new ideas in mission-driven environments.
In addition to the keynote, attendees will engage in a dynamic panel discussion featuring leaders from justice, law enforcement, and education—each sharing real-world perspectives on ethical leadership and organizational integrity in action. We are pleased to welcome Quincy Natay, Superintendent Chinle School District, Navajo Nation to that dynamic conversation.
