Ashburn, VA, July 22nd, 2025 – The Hammond City Court of Louisiana received the IJIS Court Integration Excellence award for their FairPayapp during this year’s NACM conference held in Omaha, NE. The award is given in recognition of technology innovation in courts with an emphasis on cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), information sharing, IT security, and replicability in other courts.
The FairPayApp promotes fairness when administering court fines by assisting judges and other court staff with determining an individual’s ability to pay court fines based on their specific financial circumstances. The solution is hosted in the Cloud and features an algorithm that can be customized locally.

Award evaluators wish to note two honorable mentions:
The New Mexico Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) has deployed eCourtDate which is designed to reduce failure to appear rates and enhance judicial efficiency. Court personnel use eCourt Date to send reminder notifications for court appearances. The solution automatically translates notifications into multiple languages including Spanish and Navajo. It is hosted in the Cloud, integrates with the court’s case management system, and has been designed to leverage future AI capabilities.
The Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles has implemented CourtStack Virtual CMS. This technology solution works with a court case management system (CMS) to allow courts to more seamlessly integrate their CMS with other judicial related applications, giving courts and their partners the power to make application selection decisions based on which applications best fit their operational needs and avoiding barriers to integration and adoption of innovative technologies. It can be hosted either in the Cloud or on-premise and is expected to leverage AI technology in the future.
The IJIS Institute and its partner organizations, NACM, NCSC, JTC and CITOC strive to promote awareness and education about innovative technology solutions which advance the cause of justice.
