The IJIS Institute Corrections Information Technology Recognition

The Corrections Advisory Committee Information Technology Recognition, honors a team achievement for technical innovation between industry partner(s) and one or more practitioner agency(ies) that significantly contributed to the advancement of corrections information technology in the public sector. 

This process is an open competition. Neither nominators or nominees are required to be members of the IJIS Institute. If a government agency is the submitter, a letter approving the nomination must be submitted by the agency’s Chief Information Officer or equivalent as part of the submission package.

Selection Criteria:

  • The Recognition is for team achievement between an industry partner(s) and practitioner(s)/agency(ies) in the corrections domain. 
  • Nominated projects must demonstrate the innovative approach and the applicability of information sharing standards in the corrections domain; the project/initiative must have significantly contributed to the advancement of standards-based information sharing and interoperability by offering a solution that can serve as a model to other public-sector agencies.
