The Corrections Advisory Committee focuses on advancing information sharing standards in the institutional and community corrections communities. Limited knowledge of national information sharing standards is often a major obstacle for leaders and IT professionals in corrections. Through the committee, IJIS Member Companies, practitioners and constituent organizations work to improve the level of standards and create awareness on the challenges impacting corrections. By offering expertise and advice on innovative standards and technologies, the Committee supports the IJIS Institute mission to unite industry and government in pursuit of national information sharing goals. The Committee provides leadership on issues facing information sharing in corrections as an integral component of the overall criminal justice information system.
