Privacy-Preserving Record Linkages (PPRL) Webinar

About the Webinar

The IJIS Institute is pleased to invite you and/or your representatives to be part of a working session to discuss the best practices and/or plans to achieve Privacy-Preserving Record Linkages (PPRL). We are honored to support the America’s DataHub Consortium initiative, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and conducted in collaboration with the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS). It sits at the intersection of data science, criminal justice policy, and privacy technology. The project is focused on understanding how privacy-preserving technologies — including PPRL — could realistically support cross-agency data linkage across police, courts, and corrections systems. Practitioner and service provider experiences and feedback are central to this work. As many of you may know, Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage (PPRL) is a method for linking records across datasets without directly sharing personally identifiable information. It enables agencies to collaborate on data while protecting the privacy of individuals in their systems. This session will cover the following high-level topics:

  • Provide an Understanding of the Current Landscape
  • Provide an Overview of the Technology
  • Present the Overarching Project Goals
  • Conduct a Facilitated Session to Gather Practitioner and Service Provider Feedback
