The National Information Exchange Model has been reconstituted as NIEMOpen under the auspices of OASIS, the Standards Development Organization (SDO) known for its widely accepted data standards and its thorough vetting of standards involving government and industry. Version 6.0 of NIEMOpen is the first new version of NIEMOpen under OASIS as an open-source data modeling platform and methodology and is in the final stages of release.  

As a member of the NIEMOpen Project Governance Board, the IJIS Institute is pleased to announce a webinar to address the new structure and features of NIEM Version 6.0. The webinar is open to everyone on May 22^nd from 1 to 3 P.M. EDT. 

Join the webinar to learn about the significant changes to the tools and structure of NIEMOpen which is designed to simplify and accelerate the development of information sharing among domains. Attendees will also learn about the following:

• The technology-agnostic data model that supports XML, JSON, OWL, and more, with seamless format translation;

• New tools to automate the creation of message exchange specifications;

• The enhanced API for improved data exchanges and the creation of ontologies in knowledge graphs; and,

• How these changes support the evolution of interoperability and open-source solutions.
