
Ashburn, VA, July 11, 2024 – The IJIS Institute – a nonprofit collaboration network that unites innovative thinkers from the public and private sectors, national practice associations, and academic/research organizations to address public sector mission information sharing, policy, and technology challenges, has announced the results of its recent Board of Directors election.
The annual Board of Directors elections resulted in the following individuals elected for a three-year term:
- Jim Pingel – Mission Critical Partners
- Ross Venhuizen – Motorola Solutions
Other members elected their 2nd terms on the Board include the following:
- Ryan Burchnell – AT&T FirstNet
- Mike Lesko – MCL Consulting, LLC
- Rick Zak – Microsoft
Other members continuing their terms on the Board include the following:
- Jeff Bruns – Convey911, LLC
- David Jackson – Issured Limited
- Ed Parkinson – RapidSOS
Rick Zak, Director of Data Governance and Compliance at Microsoft and the 2023-2024 IJIS Board of Directors Chair stated, “IJIS brings together public safety practitioners and industry leaders to tackle tough challenges together, and the IJIS Board of Directors plays a vital role in its success. As I finish my term as Board Chair, I congratulate the new board members and those continuing their service.”
During the upcoming Board Meeting scheduled for August, the newly elected Board of Directors will appoint its executive leadership team. This will include positions for Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director-at-large.
