IJIS Institute Announces 2026-2027 Board of Directors

Ashburn, VA, July 27, 2026 – The IJIS Institute – a nonprofit collaboration network that unites innovative thinkers from the public and private sectors, national practice associations, and academic/research organizations to address public sector mission information sharing, policy, and technology challenges, has announced the results of its recent Board of Directors election.

The annual Board of Director election resulted in the following individuals elected for a three-year term:

  • Michael Dunn – Pono Pono’i Consulting
  • Pia Puolakka – MindTech

Elected for their 2nd Term on the Board of Directors:

  • Jeff Bruns – Convey911

Those elected to complete the initial terms given an earlier transition of resources:

  • Donald Denning – AT&T
  • David Williams – Microsoft

Other members continuing their terms on the Board include the following:

  • Bill Josko – Government Technologies Group
  • Jim Pingel – Mission Critical Partners
  • Larry Zorio – Mark43
  • Todd Thompson – Frontline Public Safety | Harris Computer

During the upcoming Board Meeting scheduled for September, the newly elected Board of Directors will appoint its executive leadership team. This will include positions for Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director-at-large.

The IJIS Institute’s Executive Director Maria M.
