The IJIS Institute and Public Safety Threat Alliance (PSTA) Announce Joint Monthly Intelligence Report

The IJIS Institute and the Public Safety Threat Alliance (PSTA) – an information sharing and analysis organization (ISAO) hosted and operated by Motorola Solutions – announce the release of their first joint monthly Intelligence Report. This report will examine the most common cyber threats impacting public safety, the top trade craft used against public safety networks, and the most useful defensive measures practitioners can take to protect their agency’s technology and information assets from threat actors.

The Public Safety Threat Alliance (PSTA) is an information-sharing and analysis organization (ISAO) that is recognized by the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to address areas of critical need. The PSTA focuses on cyber threats to public safety communication platforms including Land-Mobile-Radio (LMR), 9-1-1, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), and other law enforcement systems and networks. The PSTA leverages the combined intelligence of Motorola Solutions’ Cybersecurity Services, CISA, and other ISAOs and nonprofits, to provide its members with the actionable intelligence they need to improve their cybersecurity posture.

The IJIS Institute Executive Director, Maria Cardiellos stated “We are excited to be the only organization partnering with the Motorola Solutions PSTA to bring this much-needed resource to Justice and Public Safety Leaders detailing the ever-growing cyber threat landscape, enhancing their ability to make timely decisions within their organizations, and to help reduce the impacts and associated risk.”

This Intelligence Report will be issued during the first week of every month. To stay regularly informed about various cyber threats, we would encourage you to join the mailing list by clicking here. Read the report by clicking the button below.
